Biospheric theory

There is also another theory that tries to explain the reason for dinosaurs' extinction. According to it the main reasons for their extinctions were the appearance of the flowering plants and the gradual changes of climate caused by the motion of continents.
The events that led to the extinction of dinosaurs were the next:
- The flowering plants that had developed root system and used the fertile soil better supplanted other plants very fast. But the insects appeared that specialised on the flowering plants eating but the insects connected with the earlier existed plants started to extinct.
- The flowering plants form the turf that is the best of the natural erosion fight. In the result of their spread the destruction of the land surface decreased. That is why the ocean providence with the nutrients also decreased. As the number of food decreased in the ocean, the alga's extinction also started that led to the destruction of the maritime ecosystem and became the reason for the mass extinction in the sea. This extinction also touched the big flying reptiles and lizards that were connected with the sea according to some beliefs. The part of big maritime reptiles couldn't survive the competence with the sharks that appeared.
- The land animals started to adapt to the leaves eating. And such fact led to the appearance of animals similar to rats and this led to the appearance of mammals who hunted rats. And these mammals also started to eat the eggs and dinosaurs' babies.
And these reasons were not favourable for the dinosaur's existence.
