Dinosaurs are the extinct animals that inhabited our planet 225-65 million years ago (during mesozoans period).

In ancient times people considered these bones to be the remains of the heroes of the Trojan War. During medieval times and till the 19th century these bones were considered to be the remains of giants that were mentioned in the Bible and that died during the Deluge.

According to the recent investigations from the USA Universities, dinosaurs the remains of which palaeontologists find died because of suffocation.

Dinosaurs became extinct in the end of Cretaceous period near 65 million years ago. There is no one point of view on the reason for their extinction, scientists are not even sure either they died out gradually or suddenly. This point is the point of discussions nowadays.

These animals are rather popular all over the world till nowadays despite the fact they are extinct. Nevertheless these animals are popular characters of cartoons, myths, legends and films that become rather popular.

Disadvantages of theories

All theories try to explain why all dinosaurs disappeared. But there is no theory that would satisfy all reproofs of other scientists as all theories have the number of disadvantages.

And the most important disadvantages are:

- All theories are focused on extinction that according to some scientists had the same temps as the one that happened some time before;

- The part of theories has no enough proofs. For example, there are no traces that the changes of the magnetic field of Earth influence the biosphere and there are no proofs that the change of the sea level and the structure of water can influence the mass extinction of such scale. Besides, there are no proofs of the ocean temperature changes during the period when dinosaurs' became extinct. And there are no proofs that the intensiveness of volcano activity was enough to cause the climate and biological changes.

- All theories about the impact on the earth including the astrological ones don't explain the fact that some species survived. These theories also don't correspond to the lasting of the period (many species started to extinct long before the end of the Cretaceous period). Maybe there were a lot of reasons that put the animals at the point of extinction but the catastrophe increased this process.

But it is necessary to mention that the time of extinction period can't be measured exactly that is connected with the lack of palaeontology data. These reasons don't allow making one of theories universal ones.
