Dinosaurs are the extinct animals that inhabited our planet 225-65 million years ago (during mesozoans period).

In ancient times people considered these bones to be the remains of the heroes of the Trojan War. During medieval times and till the 19th century these bones were considered to be the remains of giants that were mentioned in the Bible and that died during the Deluge.

According to the recent investigations from the USA Universities, dinosaurs the remains of which palaeontologists find died because of suffocation.

Dinosaurs became extinct in the end of Cretaceous period near 65 million years ago. There is no one point of view on the reason for their extinction, scientists are not even sure either they died out gradually or suddenly. This point is the point of discussions nowadays.

These animals are rather popular all over the world till nowadays despite the fact they are extinct. Nevertheless these animals are popular characters of cartoons, myths, legends and films that become rather popular.

Evolutional and biological theories

There are a lot of theories destined to explain the reason of dinosaurs' extinction. Some scientists consider that the space and space objects were the reasons for extinction of human ancestors. Other scientists consider the Earth's climate and weather to be responsible for the dinosaur's extinction. And there is a group of scientists that consider that evolution and biological processes were responsible for the dinosaurs' death.

And such group of scientists have several theories. And according to one of them, dinosaurs died because of the animal epidemic that spread among all ancient animals and reptiles. But some of them managed to survive isolating from the rest of animals.

Another theory says that dinosaurs couldn't adapt to the changes of plants structure and died because of the alkaloids that were the part of the new plants.

There is also the theory according to which dinosaurs were killed by the first predatory mammals that ate dinosaurs' eggs and children.

These theories were destined to explain how the first mammals appeared and why there were changes in plant's structure. And there were also some theories that combined several other theories. Such combined theories complete one another. For example, the hit of the giant meteor could provoke the increase of the volcano activity and the emission of dust could provoke the changes of climate and this could lead to the changes in plants structure and the food chains.
