Lambeosaurus

Lambeosaurus was the bird dinosaur that was the inhabitant of the late period. First it was found and described by Parks in 1923. Later this type of dinosaurs was described differently using different names. For example, it was also named Stephanosaurus. That is why during some period it caused different confusions and misunderstandings.
This dinosaur has the skull of unusual form with the comb on its noses. And the space of the nose had complicated structure. The face of the animal was short and the part of the body that reminded the beak was very narrow.
This was four-footed animal with the arms that had three main basic fingers with the finger-cushion. And the outer finger didn't even reach the ground. The back legs had three fingers. At first all Lambeosaurus were considered to be the maritime animals but in reality they inhabited the plains and ate the plants.
There are two types of Lambeosaurus that are Lambeosaurus lambei and Lambeosaurus magnicristatus.
Some traces of the hair of these animals were found. And the remains of the young representatives of this type of dinosaurs were named Procheneosaurus. Their characteristic feature was the low comb on the skull. Nowadays scientist proved that these animals refer to Lambeosaurus. The comb was increasing with the increase of the age of animals. Despite this fact the comb allowed to make the sounds that were very loudly.
