Dinosaurs are the extinct animals that inhabited our planet 225-65 million years ago (during mesozoans period).

In ancient times people considered these bones to be the remains of the heroes of the Trojan War. During medieval times and till the 19th century these bones were considered to be the remains of giants that were mentioned in the Bible and that died during the Deluge.

According to the recent investigations from the USA Universities, dinosaurs the remains of which palaeontologists find died because of suffocation.

Dinosaurs became extinct in the end of Cretaceous period near 65 million years ago. There is no one point of view on the reason for their extinction, scientists are not even sure either they died out gradually or suddenly. This point is the point of discussions nowadays.

These animals are rather popular all over the world till nowadays despite the fact they are extinct. Nevertheless these animals are popular characters of cartoons, myths, legends and films that become rather popular.

Spiders or dinosaurs

The relatives of the modern spiders are 55 million years older than the modern dinosaurs. This conclusion was made by scientists from the USA.

The discoveries made by scientists allowed to make such conclusion. Something similar to the spider's web was found on the body of the dead arachnid turned to stone. This creature that lived 300 million years ago could use the web to catch the food.

Aphantomartus pustulatus refers to the group of the most ancient animals that even preceded dinosaurs and are older than dinosaurs that colonised the land. In fact these creatures are not the real spiders however they are close relatives of spiders. If they could really make the web (this is doubtful point) this may mean that they are even closer to the spiders than it may seem. The pieces turned into the stone give the bases to say that the web was the ability of many animals independent from one another that became extinct.

The web's glands were not found in any discovered rests of the animals. The pieces turned into the stone were found near the Ohayo state conserved very well. And using the microscope it is possible to notice the small points that cover the whole body. Scientists don't know what the purpose of these points was, but the main theory is the use for the web making

Nevertheless scientists say that found proofs are not rather convincing. And in such case it is possible to say that even dinosaurs had the ability to make the web.
