In ancient times people considered these bones to be the remains of the heroes of the Trojan War. During medieval times and till the 19th century these bones were considered to be the remains of giants that were mentioned in the Bible and that died during the Deluge.

According to the recent investigations from the USA Universities, dinosaurs the remains of which palaeontologists find died because of suffocation.

Dinosaurs became extinct in the end of Cretaceous period near 65 million years ago. There is no one point of view on the reason for their extinction, scientists are not even sure either they died out gradually or suddenly. This point is the point of discussions nowadays.

These animals are rather popular all over the world till nowadays despite the fact they are extinct. Nevertheless these animals are popular characters of cartoons, myths, legends and films that become rather popular.

The giant bones that were found in the land gave the pretext to investigate the possibility of dinosaur's existence. At first William Backland and then other scientists started to form the general look of the animals that inhabited our planet long time before.

And when the rests of dinosaurs were found in the USA when well kept skeleton of dinosaurs was found, people formed the image of the dinosaur as the creature that had four legs and that used only two of them to walk.

And during the next centuries the representatives of the majority of the main groups of dinosaurs were discovered. And the development of so much information led to the development of scientific classifications.

Later the discovery made in 1964 made the revolution in science because it proved that ancient animals were moving rather fast that is the evidence they were warm-blooded. And the idea of the warm-blood animals made the scientists change their image of the dinosaur. Later it was proven that these animals had the relative instinct and that they had the social behaviour.
